Portage College graduates are in high demand. This is especially true for our business students in the Cold Lake region. In 2016-17, local accounting agencies have hired graduates from the College's business-related programs.

"This is a testament to the credibility of accounting programs we offer," says Beverly Lockett, Business Instructor at the Cold Lake Campus. "Employers are seeing the college as a community resource with graduates that are meeting the needs of what employers are demanding."

The College's latest graduate survey, completed just last week, provides ample evidence of such an assertion. One-hundred per cent of Business Administration Diploma and Accounting Technician students who responded reported that they were working, all in training-related jobs.  

"The demand for Portage College business students by our local business community reinforces that our graduates possess the skills required to be successful in their employment," says Guy Gervais, Associate Vice President Academic.  

Portage's Business Administration Diploma Program, which offers students the choice of specializing in management or accounting, is available at both our Cold Lake and Lac La Biche campuses. Currently the Accounting Technician program is only offered at the Cold Lake campus.
