Sports and Education Speaker Change
March 14, 2017

The 17th Annual Sports and Education Dinner is to be held at Portage College on April 1st, 2017. On March 7th, the College was notified that speaker Lanny McDonald cancelled his appearance because of an unspecified family commitment. The opportunity to meet McDonald at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto will still be available via live auction at the event.

After consulting a majority of our ticket holders and our sponsors, Portage College is excited to announce two new speakers: former Winnipeg Jets player and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Dale Hawerchuk, and former New York Rangers player and former Hockey Night in Canada personality, PJ Stock.

Portage College recognizes that, despite best efforts, not all ticket holders were consulted directly and offers apologies for this. All current ticket holders that still wish to attend will be issued new tickets in the coming days and refunds will be made available upon request.

Please contact Rick Flumian for ticket changes or more information at 780-623-5591.

We acknowledge that Portage College’s service region is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples, the owners of Treaty 6, 8 and 10, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands.
