Sacred Turtle Woman Healing Center and Portage College Announce Strategic Partnership

The Sacred Turtle Woman Healing Center (STWHC) and Portage College are partnering to enhance addiction and mental health support services while providing unique educational opportunities for students. This collaboration offers hands-on work placements for Portage College's human services students, integrating academic learning with real-world experience. The partnership will also develop tailored education plans and post-treatment programs, improving client care and graduate employability.

Portage College Awarded Significant Increase in CALP Grant and Additional Funding for Targeted Reading Instruction

Portage College has secured increased CALP funding of $607,446 annually from June 2024 to June 2027. Additionally, $20,000 from the Peter Gzowski Foundation will support adult reading instruction, and $90,000 from the St. Paul/Elk Point Economic Development Alliance will enhance newcomer support services. These funds will improve literacy, digital skills, and support services for adult learners.

The annual golf tournament hosted by Pembina Pipeline Corporation raised an impressive $23,400 for the Portage College Scholarship Endowment.
