NCSA Courtworkers and Justice Programs Information Session

Location Online
Time 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Tickets FREE SESSION

Native Counselling Services of Alberta Courtworkers and Justice Programs

From its origins as a single Courtworker program,  Native Counselling Services of Alberta  (NCSA) has grown into an agency focused on social justice for Indigenous Peoples. For 50 years, NCSA has assisted Indigenous people in gaining fair and equitable access to the justice, children’s services and corrections systems in Alberta. Their programs and services are grounded in reclaiming interconnectedness, reconciliation of relationships and self determination.

If you have been charged with a crime, are involved with Children’s Services, or are under 18 and in trouble with the law, an NCSA Courtworker can help you.

NCSA Courtworkers are free-of-charge and can:

  • go to court with you
  • help you understand your legal matter and options
  • help you complete and file court documents
  • connect you with programs and services
  • organize Restorative Conferences

Join this session and learn about the NCSA  Family Courtworker and the Criminal Courtworker programs.

Details on how to join this session on Zoom will be emailed 2 days prior. If you do not receive the invitation, please contact the host at shelley.jackson@portagecollege.ca
