Sacred Turtle Woman Healing Center and Portage College Announce Strategic Partnership
August 6, 2024The Sacred Turtle Woman Healing Center (STWHC) and Portage College are partnering to enhance addiction and mental health support services while providing unique educational opportunities for students. This collaboration offers hands-on work placements for Portage College's human services students, integrating academic learning with real-world experience. The partnership will also develop tailored education plans and post-treatment programs, improving client care and graduate employability.
We acknowledge that Portage College’s service region is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples, the owners of Treaty 6, 8 and 10, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands.
