Gingerbread Challenge 2024

Get ready, get set, bake!

Build your gingerbread creation and enter the competition!

Peoples Choice will be judged from all entries. 

Registration ends Saturday, November 23 at 12:00 PM. Entries must be dropped off at Fieldhouse 1 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Winners will be announced at 2:00 PM.

Entries must be picked up by 2:00 PM. Any entries left after 2:00 PM will be donated.

 Be sure to title your entry and include your name, address and phone number.

  • Entries must be displayed on a board no larger than 18” x 18”.
  • Entries are not limited to houses; other types of entries are accepted as well.
  • Construction and decorating materials must be edible and should be mainly gingerbread. No artificial materials, such as Styrofoam, are to be used in the construction. You may use battery-operated mini lights.
  • All entries from the "Kids" division and up must be designed and constructed solely by the individual. Children in the “Wee Ones” division may have help with construction only.
  • Entries must be picked up from the Bold Center on November 23 by 2:00 PM. Any entries not picked up by 2:00 PM will be donated.
  • Images of all entries become the property of Portage College and may be used in promotional materials.

All entries will be judged based on five criteria:

  • Overall appearance
  • Construction
  • Originality
  • Creativity
  • Craftsmanship

Winners will be announced November 23 at 2:00 PM.
