All Portage students can get an ID card by following these simple steps:
- Snap a selfie! This photo should be similar to your driver’s license, but we do request that you smile. (It should be just of you and preferably against a plain white background. No hats, friends, sunglasses, or silly faces.)
- Send your JPEG image to StudentID@portagecollege.ca through your Portage email account with your Name and Student ID number in the subject line and should be no bigger than 1.2MB.
- Once you’re student ID is ready for pick up, you will receive an email, and you can pick it up at the Bookstore in Lac La Biche campus (LLB students) or Student Services front desks at Cold Lake (CL students) and St. Paul (SP students) campuses. Make sure to bring your government issued photo ID. If you are an online student who cannot pick up your student ID in person at the Campus, and would still like one, there will be a $10 fee to have it mailed to your address. Please include your mailing address and a picture of your government issued photo ID in your email when submitting your photo. To pay the $10 mailing fee, please contact Student Accounts at 1-866-623-5551 (toll-free), extension 5706 to pay by Visa or MasterCard.
Please make sure that you send your picture no later than the week before your program start date, to ensure that it will be ready for the first day of your program. Student IDs will be available for pick up at the front desks in both Cold Lake and St. Paul, please wait for confirmation email that it is ready for pick up. Lac La Biche campus students can pick up their ID on program start day in the Bookstore, wait for confirmation that it is ready for pick up.
