Portage College Launches Ambulance Simulator

Portage College has launched a cutting-edge ambulance simulator at its Lac La Biche campus, enhancing the training experience for paramedic students. One of only five in Canada, this state-of-the-art simulator allows students to practice emergency response scenarios in a controlled, immersive environment, including drills in extreme weather conditions. The simulator, which mimics real-life driving conditions using hydraulic movements, provides invaluable hands-on experience before field placements. This unique tool supports the College’s commitment to excellence in its paramedic programs, equipping students with the skills needed for safe and effective patient care.
