Aircraft Structures Technician
This program will be offered at Portage College’s brand new Aerospace Campus, located at the Cold Lake Airport in Cold Lake. The Program is one year in length, and has been approved by Transport Canada, a huge milestone for the program as it now secures students the opportunity to pursuit an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) certification and subsequent employment opportunities upon completion of the program.
Power Engineering
4th Class Power Engineering will take place over the course of 25 weeks onsite, at the Lac La Biche campus. Additionally, as part of the program students will participate in a one month work placement towards the end of the program. 3rd Class Power Engineering is completed online and can be completes asynchronously over the course of one year. Additionally, as part of the 3rd Class program, students will take a six month, paid work placement within the length of the normal program completion.
Professional Cooking
Offered out of our Lac La Biche campus. Program will be one year in length and will teach students the skills and techniques need to be able to go work in a variety of different kitchens and culinary experience, such as catering companies, camps, hotels, and more. The program will include a one month work placement experience at the end of the program.
