Class 3 Driver Training

With a Class 3 license you will be able to drive a single vehicle with three or more axles, or a vehicle with three or more axles towing a trailer with one or more axles (only if the trailer is not equipped with Air Brakes)

Safety Practices

  • Hours of Service – Log Books
  • Pre & Post Trip Inspections
  • National Safety Code
  • Rules and Regulations
  • Vehicle and Load Documentation
  • Maintenance and Servicing
  • Driver Training – Practical Application

In-Class Instruction 8 hours

  • In-Cab Instruction – 20 (standard transmission)
  • In-Yard Instruction – 4.00 hours

Students will incur the following expenses: Driver’s Abstract and License Class Change, both payable to Registry Office.

Admission Requirement:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Current Alberta Class 5 Driver’s license, no GDL restriction
  • Current driver’s abstract (within 3 months)
  • Physically fit
