An alumni (singular: alumnus or alumna) is a person who has attended or graduated from a specific school, college, or university.
At Portage College, we take a broader and more inclusive approach to what it means to be an alumni member—recognizing not only graduates, but also individuals who have contributed to and been part of the college community in a variety of ways.
You are considered a Portage College alum if you meet any of the following criteria:
- Successfully completed a certificate or diploma program.
- Completed at least 18 credits in a University Transfer Program.
- Graduated from a Trades or Apprenticeship Program (minimum of one period).
- Completed Continuing Education programs, such as Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers Training.
- Completed a full Micro-Credential.
- Are a current or former employee of Portage College.
- Are a current or former member of the Board of Governors.
If any of these criteria apply to you, we invite you to explore the Portage Perks app—our online portal designed to help you stay connected with fellow alumni and the Portage College community.
