Our campus in Lac La Biche provides a unique learning environment for all students. With topnotch facilities and small class sizes, Portage College can offer the best of both worlds. Not only do our students have the opportunity to learn and work in a state-of-the-art facility, they are also ensured small class sizes so that each student receives one-on-one attention that larger institutions cannot offer. With a wide range of programs, Portage College in Lac La Biche can help put you on your educational path. The main campus is always abuzz with activities, whether it be recreational activities, athletic competitions, student association functions or college fund-raising events.

With records dating back as far as 1798, the town is situated 220 kilometres northeast of Edmonton on the southern shore of Lac La Biche. Portage College is located on 94th Avenue and has been in operation since 1968. Lac La Biche is your place to discover.

Student services and programs offered at the Lac La Biche campus.

In residence, you will be part of a diverse community where you will develop friendships and lasting memories. The Lac La Biche campus offers a variety of housing options for students.

Our Campus Residence Hall offers students self-contained rooms designed for two students to share. Each room includes two beds and desks, a kitchenette with a two-burner stove top and fridge, table and chairs, and a full bathroom. Common lounges in Residence have microwaves and TVs with cable. 

Townhouses are a short walk to the main building. Fully furnished townhouses are shared by four students, each with their own bedroom. There are two bathrooms, a living room, dining room and full kitchen. Each unit has cable TV provided at no cost to the student.

The safety and security of students, staff and visitors, are top priority at Portage College. We have experienced campus security officers at our disposal.

We also conduct campus drills throughout the year to increase knowledge and awareness of best practices for personal safety.
