The Alberta Artist Gallery is part of the museum and houses the museum store as well as shorter length exhibitions. Currently we are showing works of Alberta Artist in the gallery, including those of Glen Nipshank, Jane Ash Poitras, David Garneau, Terry McCue, George Littlechild and Leo Arcand.
Past exhibitions in this Alberta Artist Gallery have included the Carrying On Indigenous Art Exhibition which ran from November 2016 to January 2017 and the People, Places and Faces exhibition from March 2017 to June 2018.
We acknowledge that Portage College’s service region is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples, the owners of Treaty 6, 8 and 10, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands.
