Lac La Biche, AB, Portage College is pleased to announce expanded delivery options for its Business Administration Certificate, Business Administration Management Diploma, and Business Administration Accounting Diploma beginning in Fall 2026. These programs will now be offered through Multi-Access Learning (or more commonly known as Hyflex learning), giving students the choice of online or onsite learning or a mix of both. Instruction is available in different modes for any given course, allowing students to move between modalities at their discretion.
Designed to support working professionals, adult learners, and students across Alberta, this initiative ensures learners can pursue a high-quality business education regardless of where they live or the demands of their schedules. Students may study fully remotely, attend in person, or combine both options so they can learn in the way that best supports their goals.
“Our goal is to make business education accessible, flexible, and responsive to the needs of today’s learners,” said Allan Robertson, Program Coordinator, Business at Portage College. “Multi-Access Learning offers students real choice by allowing them to participate in classes in the mode that works best for them without compromising academic quality, engagement, or support.”
Students will continue to benefit from applied learning, real-world case studies, collaborative projects, and instruction from experienced faculty regardless of how they attend.
Portage College also confirms that international students will continue to access the Business programs through in-person, on-campus delivery to ensure they receive the full classroom experience required for study permit compliance.
Applications for the Fall 2026 intake are now open. These flexible learning pathways demonstrate Portage College’s ongoing commitment to supporting student success and strengthening access to high-quality business education across the province.
