The Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) allows you to make a complaint if you believe your personal information has been collected, used or shared improperly.
To make a complaint, complete a Collection, Use, or Disclosure Complaint Form and send it to the College’s Privacy Office by email or email: privacy@portagecollege.ca

When your complaint is received, the Privacy Office will log the complaint, issue a written acknowledgment, and review details of your complaint.
Within 30 days, you will receive a response that explains whether your complaint was supported,, any actions taken or planned to address the issue, and details on your right to ask for an independent review.
If you are not satisfied with the College’s response, or do not receive a response, you may request a review by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta:
