Dozens of administrative support staff were recognized for their work at celebrations across the Portage College network on April 22.
As part of Administrative Professionals Week, members of the college’s executive team visited with admin staff at three campus locations. President and CEO Dr. Stephen Price was at the Cold Lake campus, Chief Financial Officer Cynthia Quintal was at the St. Paul campus, and Vice-President of People and Culture Carrie Froehler and Vice President Academics and Research Dr. Donna Feledichuk were in Lac La Biche. The message to the admin staff at each location was the same: We couldn’t do it without you.
“We appreciate how much work you do. You are the backbone behind all of us,” said Froehler as about 30 staff members gathered in the waniskah cultural space at the Lac La Biche campus for a mid-morning coffee and cake break.
Feledichuk echoed the praise for admin staff who work behind the scenes and those who work in public-facing roles.
“You really support our students and staff every day. You are all critically important to the success of the college,” she said.
The recognition events were hosted by the college’s Human Resources department.
