Athabasca-based Aspen View Public Schools has partnered with Portage College to offer more students a practical learning pathway to Trades and Technology-focused careers.

The new, dual-credit opportunity introduces high school students to a variety of Trades options offered at Portage College. The partnership is possible through discussions between the school division and Portage College senior officials. Funding for the project comes from grant funding provided to the school division.

Aspen View Public Schools serves approximately 2,600 students at nine Kindergarten to Grade 12 community schools in a region spanning from Athabasca to Smoky Lake. The school division also serves four Hutterite colonies and two outreach campus locations.
