A Sunrise Ceremony to begin September 30 at Portage College in Lac La Biche was attended by community members and invited guests. The ceremony, held in the College’s wanîskah cultural space, included a light breakfast, guest presentations, traditional dancing, drumming and a round dance. The events were part of the Truth and Reconciliation Day events in the Lac La Biche community.

Following the ceremony a community walk took place from the College to a new Every Child Matters pathway in McArthur Park. At the park, the new pathway, created by the municipality, was officially blessed.
