Student ID Card

All Portage students can get an ID card by following these simple steps:

1. Snap a selfie! This photo should be similar to your driver's license, but we do request that you smile. (It should be just of you and preferably against a plain white background. No hats, friends, sunglasses, or silly faces.)

2. Send your JPEG image to StudentID@portagecollege.ca through your Portage email account with your Name and Student ID number in the subject line, and should be no bigger than 1.2MB.

3. You’re student ID will be ready for pick up at Student Services the following week, make sure to bring your government issued photo ID. If you are an online student who cannot pick up your student ID in person at the Campus, and would still like one, there will be a $10 fee to have it mailed to your address. Please include your mailing address and a picture of your government issued photo ID in your email when submitting your photo. To pay the $10 mailing fee, please contact Student Accounts at 1-866-623-5551 (toll-free), extension 5706 to pay by Visa or MasterCard.

Please make sure that you send your picture the week before your program start date, to ensure that it will be ready for the first day of your program. Student IDs will be available for pick up at the front desks in both Cold Lake and St. Paul, on Fridays after your program start date. Lac La Biche campus students can pick up their ID on program start day at Student Services Desk, if picking up after that it will be available a week after submission.

We acknowledge that Portage College’s service region is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples, the owners of Treaty 6, 8 and 10, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands.
