Moodle is a learning management software (LMS) that offers an online environment for instructors and students to interact with one another, and with the learning content and resources. Students and instructors communicate using text and web communications. Instruction, content and resources are available in a variety of web based formats, and students can complete, submit and track their assignments and access their grades. Moodle courses are typically scheduled as a paced course of study accessible to students through the Internet 24 hours a day – 7 days a week. Moodle is also used to support face to face classroom courses.

At the beginning of each term, there will be an Introduction to Learning Technologies at Portage College session that students are encouraged to attend. You can find training and guides on how to use Moodle and other learning technologies at Portage College that are covered in these sessions, by checking out the “Student Technologies 101” course. You have already been enrolled in this course, and can find it on your Moodle “My Courses” page. “

You can take a look at some of the technologies and learning tools available at Portage College by checking out our YouTube Channel.
