Bear Awareness & Safety - Onsite

In this face-to-face, six-hour, industry-recognized, bear-aware course, you will learn North American bear types, bear behaviors, and habitats.  You will also learn how to prevent or handle bear encounters and the difference between a defensive bear and a predatory bear.  Portage will give you hands-on experiences with the safe deployment of bear spray and bangers, which is a must when working, walking, or playing in bear country.
