ABOUT THE POSITION

Portage College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrative support to work at the service desk at the St. Paul campus to provide a wide range of administrative services to the St. Paul Service Desk. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff and the general public, responding to general and campus related inquiries.
  • Reception, word processing, data entry, phone follow-up, records management, and compiling and creating reports.
  • Provide admin support cover off.
  • Other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or certificate in Office or Business Administration. Equivalencies may be considered.
  • Previous experience in administrative support, preferably at a post-secondary institution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Must be proficient with computers, especially MS Office.
  • Strong skills in organization, multitasking, data entry and telephone etiquette.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, but also part of an integrated and dynamic team.
  • Successful applicant will be required to provide a current police information check.
