ABOUT THE POSITION
Portage College is looking for youth/students who have strong customer service skills and a desire to gain experience in maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
- Preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Responding to work orders and tracking progress of work requests.
- Performing building maintenance tasks including painting, patching, and changing light bulbs and furnace filters.
- Moving, loading, and unloading furniture, equipment and building materials.
- Performing clean up duties and ensuring workshop and work areas are clean.
- Carrying out ground’s maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Applicants must be currently attending a high school or post-secondary institution and returning to school full-time in the fall (no later than November 1, 2025). Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Preference will be given to applicants with some experience relating to the position for which you applied.
- Excellent skills in communication and customer service.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting.
- Must be proficient with computers, especially MS Office.
- Successful applicant will be required a current Criminal Record Check.
