The Class 3 Driver Training program is for Albertans experiencing long term unemployment as well as targeting equity deserving groups (women, persons with disabilities and indigenous participants
This comprehensive training program includes Class 3 driver training, employment readiness training and safety certification.
With a Class 3 license you will be able to drive a single vehicle with three or more axles, or a vehicle with three or more axles towing a trailer with one or more axles (only if the trailer is not equipped with Air Brakes)
Curriculum includes:
NOTE: If a student can prove current certification in air-brakes, and safety certification they can be exempted from those courses, otherwise they are compulsory.
Students will incur the following expenses: Driver’s Abstract and License Class Change, both payable to Registry Office.
Driver’s license and abstract MUST be provided in order to be considered for the program. Applicants will be notified of acceptance into the program or placement on a waitlist.
