In an important milestone event at Portage College; in partnership with Saddle Lake Cree Nation, we will be hosting a Treaty 6 Flag Raising Ceremony at our Portage College, St. Paul Campus.

We are raising this flag to show that we acknowledge that Portage College St. Paul Campus is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples., the owners of Treaty 6, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands. We speak these words daily and by having the flag raising ceremony, we will bring these words to action.
