Effective workplace management is essential for the success of any organization. By the end of these courses, you will have a comprehensive understanding of workplace dynamics and the skills needed to manage them effectively. You will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to create a positive workplace culture that promotes productivity, innovation, and employee engagement.

Micro-credentials are short, concentrated groups of courses that are really flexible. You can take as many as you like, in any order, and because they are asynchronous you can take them at any time it suits you. You will be awarded a badge for each individual course, once you have completed all four courses you will gain your micro-credential.

  • Explain the definition, terms, and history of diversity.
  • Describe the meaning of stereotypes and biases, how they develop, and the reasons for your own perspectives.
  • List strategies for removing barriers to encouraging diversity for yourself, in the workplace, and in the social community.
  • Use active listening skills to receive messages within a diverse population.
  • Employ effective questioning techniques and communicate with strength.
  • Describe the importance of body language, both your own and that of others.
  • Identify the importance of body language in interpersonal communications.
  • Identify ways to encourage diversity in the workplace, and ways to prevent and discourage discrimination.
  • Respond to personal complaints.
  • Develop a support system to manage the resolution process.
  • List the steps a manager should take to record a complaint, analyze the situation, and take appropriate resolution action.
  • Identify the process an organization must follow to receive and respond to a complaint.
  • Create mechanisms to prevent or reduce repeat situations.
