ConGRADulations! It was Graduation Day at Portage College on July 23 for students in the Career Exploration and Job Readiness (CEJR) program offered at the Saddle Lake campus.
The graduation ceremony was held at the St. Paul Portage College campus and included presentations, photos and a special balloon release to recognize two students who passed away at the beginning of the program.
Portage College President and CEO Nancy Broadbent, members of the Saddle Lake and St. Paul communities, along with family and friends, all gathered to congratulate the graduates.
The Career Exploration and Job Readiness program is a 17-week course that includes training in life management, career planning, workplace safety and personal wellness. The program also includes practicum hours in local businesses that partner with the program.
