Portage College Scholarships for Displaced Ukrainian Citizens
February 7, 2023

Portage College has made funds available to support prospective students from the Ukraine who have fled their home country for the safety of Canada.

There are 5 scholarships available for the 2023-2024 academic year which will help pay for tuition and mandatory fees. These scholarships will be made available to Ukrainian students who wish to attend their full-time schooling at the Cold Lake, St. Paul or Lac La Biche locations.

Due to the current conflict we understand the difficulty for Ukrainian students to access their transcripts and will be offering the option of administering placement exams to determine eligibility.

Admission Requirements:

  • The student must be an international student (not a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen) who has left the Ukraine for the safety of Canada due to the ongoing war.
  • The student must meet the admission requirements by presenting their educational transcripts. Due to ongoing conflict and the realization that transcripts may not be available, placement screening will be administered based on the program the student is applying for.

For more information or to apply for this scholarship please email Kayla.
