College Steps Up to Help Lac La Biche Salon Affected by Fire
August 12, 2021On June 28, 2021, fire ravaged a building in downtown Lac La Biche. Next door to the fire, Selena’s Hair Design was significantly damaged and temporarily shut down. Owner Selena Cadieux contacted Portage College the next day about operating the business out of the Salon at the College’s Lac La Biche campus.
We acknowledge that Portage College’s service region is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples, the owners of Treaty 6, 8 and 10, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands.
