Grow your nursing career close to home! Portage College is thrilled to partner with the University of Calgary to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Rural Community Route. This program gives students residing within the Portage College service region the opportunity to complete a BScN degree without having to relocate.
This accelerated degree program is designed for those who have prior post-secondary education and have completed the required prerequisite coursework, with preference given to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Theory courses are offered online, with labs delivered at one of the Portage College campuses. Clinical placements are offered with Alberta Health Services and other community partners within the Portage College region.
Students have access to college amenities, technology and services. This program is part of a strategic focus by Portage College to collaborate with other post-secondary institutions to offer degree completion opportunities to those in its service region.
