The Corporate Communications Department welcomes your story and photo submissions for possible use on the Portage College website and the College's official social media sites. If applicable, your submission may also be sent to local media outlets for external publicity.

We invite students, employees, alumni and community members to upload their favorite stories and photos for consideration by reading Portage College’s general guidelines and completing the Submit Your Story form below. Submissions should represent some aspect of the Portage College community, such as academics, student life, campus events or working at the College etc.

Your Story Terms of Service

By uploading your photo, you agree to the following:
a) I am the copyright holder of the photograph. The "photograph" here refers to the JPG, GIF, or PNG file uploaded to Portage College server using the submission form on the Portage College Web site. (If you created the photograph, you are most likely the copyright holder, unless you sold the copyright to someone else. If you don't own the copyright then you may not submit the photo to Portage College.
b) I authorize Portage College to print, publish or display (in any medium or form, including but not limited to print, electronic, digital, magnetic, film, audio-visual, and other readable media formats) the image, including my likeness uploaded here.
c) To the extent that more than one individual is depicted in the photograph submitted, I represent and warrant that I have the authority to agree to these terms on the behalf of all individuals depicted. I agree to indemnify and hold Portage College harmless for any damages if I do not have said authority.
d) If any individual in the photograph is a minor, I represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor and have the authority to consent to the terms of this agreement.

General Guidelines

Please make sure that the image you upload is your own photo.
Do not put the Portage College Logo, or the words Portage College in or on your image, Corporate Communications Department will add appropriate branding and captioning to explain the photo.
Do not submit images that may be considered obscene, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate.
Do not submit images that are out of focus or of poor quality.

The most common reasons images are not accepted are:

Poor quality
Incorrect orientation
Inappropriate content
Lack of relevance to the Portage College community
