On March 3, 2023, the College and presenting sponsor Cenovus Energy will welcome Doug Gilmour and Kevin Lowe to the Lac La Biche campus as part of a special evening to raise funds for student scholarships.
Doug and Kevin will share their experiences in the NHL while guests enjoy a sumptuous meal. There will also be a live auction and silent auction items up for bids.

Tickets for the Student Scholarship Fundraising Dinner are $125.00 per person (including service fee) and can be purchased online, must be 18+. Guests are encouraged to wear their favourite hockey team's jersey to the event. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres start at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to follow. This event supports student scholarships that helps reduce financial barriers for students.
Gilmour scored 450 goals and 964 assists over 20 seasons with St. Louis, Calgary, Toronto, New Jersey, Chicago, Buffalo, and Montreal. Doug holds 3 franchise records for the Maple Leafs, including assists in a season (95), points in a season (127), and assists in a game (6). Gilmour also won a Selke Trophy and scored the Stanley Cup clinching goal in 1989.
Kevin Lowe enjoys a special place in Oilers lore–first draft pick, he scored the first goal and of course he was part of that elite group who belong on the “5 Stanley” list of Oiler greats. Unlike Messier, Kurri, Anderson, Fuhr, Huddy and Gregg–and unlike Gretzky, Coffey and Moog–Kevin Lowe returned to the city and organization as a player and then as a coach and manager.
