About the Event:

This virtual presentation is designed to empower caregivers with the tools and knowledge needed to talk to children about body boundaries and sexual abuse. Key topics include:

  • The role of body safety in the prevention of sexual abuse.
  • Recognizing signs of sexual abuse and identifying risk factors, particularly in rural communities.
  • Discussing personal boundaries and body autonomy with children in age-appropriate ways.
  • Accessing resources and support to protect and support children.

Join us to gain practical, age-appropriate strategies and resources that help ensure children feel safe and supported.

Facilitator Bio

Ashley Lock is the Youth Education Coordinator at The Dragonfly Centre, where she focuses on providing education and support for children, youth, and caregivers to prevent and address sexual abuse. Ashley is dedicated to empowering families with the tools and resources they need to foster safe environments and promote body safety.
