On June 12, 2021 Portage College and Lac La Biche County will host the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Awards.

About the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Awards:

The Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Awards Foundation celebrates Alberta’s rich cultural fabric by honouring its most accomplished artists and supporting professional artists in the early stages of their careers. Since its inception in 2003, 20 Distinguished Artists and 53 Emerging Artists have been recognized with a Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Award including visual artists Alex Janvier and Jane Ash Poitras.
